Boulder High Varsity continued to prove that even with four new starting defenders and one new starting goalkeeper that they can continue the Panther tradition of playing great team defensive. The Panther shut out a very physical Smoky Hill team 2-0 on Saturday and then returned to Recht Stadium on Tuesday to shut out a well organized Pomona team 3-0. Jack Huettel is showing his three years of varsity starting experience in the midfield. His strong defensive and ball possession presence helps the Panthers keep the ball in the opponents half. In the back line, three seniors, Jack Lowell, Michael Ozeroff, Ben Kates along with the exceptionally athletic freshman Miles Chow are proving difficult to break down. Sophomore Henry Huettel and his sure hands and good feet are keeping the ball out of the net.
Next up for the Panthers are Front Range League opponent Greeley West in Greeley.
The Panthers next home game is:
Thursday 9/22 | 7:00PM | vs. | Poudre High School |
