Co-Captain, Spencer Sarson (Senior) continues to be recognized by the Colorado High School soccer coaches when he was named 1st Team All-State by the Colorado High School Soccer Coaches Association. Only 11 players out of over 1300 5A varsity players state-wide are recognized for this honor.
Spencer shared the title for the top 5A goal scorer in Colorado with 27 goals this fall setting a new Boulder High single season record. Spencer scored 42 goals on 3 seasons of varsity soccer. While we don’t have official records of all-time goals scored in a career. 42 is believed to be the most career goals scored over a varsity player. The next closest would be Sebastian Colom who was a prolific goal scored in between 1988-1991.
This is a the third consecutive year that Boulder High has a player on the 5A All-State 1st Team and just the third 1st Team All-State honoree in school history. Boulder High’s historical All-State Honoree are:
