Panthers Receive Daily Camera 2009 All-Region Honors
Four Boulder High seniors have been recognized by the Daily Camera for their contribution to the fall 2009 soccer season. Co-Captains Andrew Flint and Spencer Sarson were named to the All-Region 1st Team. Seniors Walter Bertini and Max Jaffee received All-Region Honorable Mention. This was the first time Andrew has been named to the All-Region team and the second time for Spencer, Walter and Max.
Andrew was recognized as a defender after making the transition from midfield. Andrew was second on the team in assists and provided valuable leadership. Spencer was the 2009 leading 5A goal scorer (27) in Colorado and the all-time leading goal scorer for Boulder High. Bertini added to Boulder’s high octane attack, scoring 13 goals on the season and scoring all of the Panthers playoff goals this fall. Max was a four year varsity starter and contributed to the Panthers successful season as both a winger and an outside back. Always dangerous getting forward, Max also did a great job successfully stopping opposing attackers.
