SENIOR TIM SMITH COMMITS TO AIR FORCE ACADEMY
MAY 5, 2008
Tim Smith committed to NCAA Divsion I Men's Soccer at the Air Force Academy after considering several prestigious universities. After the fall 2007 season, Tim was Boulder High’s first All-State soccer player in twelve years. As a two-year varsity team captain, Tim was instrumental in leading the 2007 Panthers to a 2nd place finish in Centennial League and the second round of the Colorado State Playoffs.
Tim was a three time 1st Team Academy All-State selection, National Merit Scholar Semi-Finalist, National Honor Society and has a 4.3 GPA.
Tim is a model for future Panther student-athletes. He reached the top of Colorado high school soccer by improving his soccer every year. Potential NCAA Division I soccer players usually play junior varsity or evern varsity their freshman year, however, Tim worked his way up from the BHS freshman team and eventually became one of the top soccer players in the state. That kind of success comes from dedication, hard work and focus. Tim helped make the Boulder soccer program better and we wish him the best of luck as a Falcon next fall.
BOULDER HIGH SUMMER TRAINING PROGRAM:
• June 23-August 1, 2008, Mondays and Wednesdays at BHS Recht Field, 8:00AM-9:00AM
1 hour of Soccer Speed, Agility, Reaction and Quickness training and soccer skills development.
All players are encourage to participate. There is no fee for this summer training.
• Captain Scrimmages: TBA, check the website for dates and times
SUMMER CAMP SCHEDULE:
• Varsity Team Camp at University of Denver: Friday, July 25 - Sunday, July 27
Open to returning varsity players, then JV in order or class, then JVII in order of class, then F/S in order of class until full (22 players). $135 per player. Email Coach Hardy if you would like to participate. coachhardy@hotmail.com
• Pre-Season Camp: August 4-8 at Recht, $80.00. ALL returning players should plan on this camp.
